Betty Jean Jones, 59, of Ethridge, Tennessee, wife of James H. Jones, died on Wednesday, September 01, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC of Columbia is assisting the family with the arrangements. A private time of remembrance and celebration of her life will be held by the family. A native of Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Allen Shields and the late Thelma Smith Shields. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed greatly by all those who knew her. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and also raising miniature dachshunds. In addition to her husband of forty years, Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter; Sherry D. Jones also of Ethridge, Tennessee; Three sisters: Linda (EB) Burns, Diane Shields, and Janice Shields all of Carrollton, Kentucky; and one brother, Bobby Shields of Danville, Kentucky.
