Mr. Timothy Wayne Tim Swaw, also known to his co-workers as Swaw Bucket , 41, auto technician for Sloan Ford, and a resident of Mooresville Pike, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Funeral Services for Mr. Swaw will be conducted Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, with Elvis Williams and Jim Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Gibson County, Tennessee, he was the son of Lonnie (Charlene) Swaw of Bon Aqua, and Wanda Frazier Sullivan of Cornersville. He was a 1986 graduate of Lewis County High School. In 1996, he married Traci Jeanine Parish Swaw. He was a member of Flatrock Church of Christ in Hohenwald. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Desert Storm. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, fishing, a NASCAR fan, and a Tennessee Titans fan. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter, Ashley Swaw of Columbia; grandmother, Jean Swaw of Hohenwald; sister, Donna (Scottie) Landers of Linden; brothers, Thomas (Hazel) Swaw and J. L. (Kathy) Swaw, both of Linden; half-brothers, Greg Swaw, Jason Swaw, Justin Swaw, all of Bon Aqua; his mother-in-law, Judith Parish of Sun City, Arizona; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and good friends. Pallbearers will be J. L. Swaw, Lonnie Swaw, Thomas Swaw, Walter Dugger, Bradley Elam, and Bud Parish. Honorary pallbearers will be staff and employees of Sloan Ford.
