Of Local Interest ... Mrs. Clydene Dene Barnett Reed, 78, former resident of West 6th Street in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in Rockledge, Florida, where she had made her home for many years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hope United Church of Christ in Rockledge, Florida. Entombment will follow in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. The Summertown, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mattie Alford Barnett. She graduated from Summertown High School and attended business school in Columbia. She was employed by WKRM Radio Station while in Columbia. She was blessed with 58 wonderful years of marriage to George Reed, a former Maury County Funeral Director. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Reed of Rockledge, Florida; son, Brian Reed of Billings, Montana; granddaughter, Tamars Berry, and great grandson, Jordan Smith of Merritt Island, Florida.
