Dorothy Lavonne Clifford Shuey, 87, a resident of Waynesboro and formerly of Chicago, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. A memorial service for Mrs. Shuey will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1007 Collinwood Highway Waynesboro, Tennessee with Larry Davis (Elder) officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from noon until time of service at the Kingdom Hall. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy, a Cleveland, Ohio native was retired from Sergeant and Lundy Engineering in Chicago, Illinois. She formerly served as a full time minister of Jehovahs Witnesses. She is the widow of Lester Fansler, Lloyd Melvin, Eugene Wittman, and Harold Shuey. Mrs. Shuey's greatest passion in life was to witness about her God Jehovah and share biblical truths with as many as would listen. Over the course of her life, she touched the lives of many family and friends. She helped many people through their struggles in life to get back on their feet. She helped people find a positive direction in their life and had countless friends who have come to love her dearly. She will always be known as a loving, caring, selfless, concerned mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life long hope was to enjoy the Bible's hope of living on earth forever. Psalms 37:10. She is survived by a daughter, Penny Turnquist of Waynesboro, Tennessee; two sons, Mark (Wendy) Wittman of Cleveland, Georgia and Steven (Patricia) Fansler of Melbourne, Australia; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Juanita Swinford and Patricia Herrera; a sister Virginia Bruski. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.heritage-fhcs.com.
