Mrs. Susie Elisabeth Black Jamison, 77, a resident of Beuerlein Circle in Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the home of her niece. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Maury County, Mrs. Jamison is the daughter of the late Thomas Sidney and Minnie Pearl Rummage Black. She was married to the late Jimmie Jamison. Mrs. Jamison is retired from Hines Veterans Hospital in Chicago, where she worked as a nurses aide. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, crocheting, embroidering, and watching wrestling. Mrs. Jamison is survived by two sisters, Ellen Hutcherson of Santa Fe and Oma Wright of Jackson, MS. She had 18 nephews and 16 nieces, some of which preceded her in death. She had many great nieces and nephews and extended family. She will be remembered to her beloved friend, Denise Kennedy. She was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Zelphia Pogue, Bertha Derryberry, Laminza Derryberry, Jenny Harwell, Sarah Dooley, and Elise Fitzgerald; four brothers, Wilburn Black, Roy Black, Harlan Black, and Chesley Black.
