Maxine Brown Kincaid, 83, widow of Sammie D. Kincaid and resident of the Kedron Community, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at NHC Hillview in Columbia. Services for Mrs. Kincaid will be conducted Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Franklin Williams and Dalton Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Hargrove Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday, May 23, 2009, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Richard Brown and Amanda Myrtle Brown. Mrs. Kincaid was a retired seamstress at Publix Shirt Factory. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She was a member of Browns Chapel Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Jerry B.) Johnson of Columbia and Betty (Tony) Underwood of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Eddie Kincaid and Richard Kincaid, both of Spring Hill; sisters, Dot Fitzgerald of Columbia, Jean (Joe) Duvall of Columbia, and Faye (Jack) Weaver of Spring Hill; a brother, Jim (Doris) Brown of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; grandchildren, Stephen (Dena) Johnson, Robby Johnson, Jerri Lynn (Andy) Derryberry, Brett Underwood, Jason (Brenda) Underwood, Jennifer (David) Sewell, Richard D. Kincaid, Samuel Derrick Kincaid, Dana (Dale) Ingram, and Joey Kincaid; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Tomlin; seven brothers, Mayhue Brown, Joe Anderson Brown, Carl Ed Brown, Earl Brown, Herbert Brown, T.R. Brown, and John David Brown; a great-grandchild, Aiden Matthew Kincaid; a granddaughter- in- law, Amanda Kincaid. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
