Russell Calvin Chapman

Russell Calvin Rusty Chapman, 42, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Chapman will be conducted Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Emily Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Watts Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Maury County, he is the son of Linda Clawson Chapman of Mt. Pleasant. He was a former home health consultant in Nashville, and Assistant Manager of two Chilis in the Nashville area. Mr. Chapman enjoyed his computer, reading, watching TV and his dog, Phoebe. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Joe (Sherry) Chapman of Summertown; two uncles, Rick (Beth) Clawson of Columbia and Steve Clawson of Mt. Pleasant; an aunt, Wanda Rhodes of Mt. Pleasant; a great aunt, Dot Thomason of Mt. Pleasant; one niece, Aleaha Chapman of Summertown; two nephews, Riley and Ryan Chapman of Summertown; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John and Hassie Attkisson Clawson. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be special friends, Everett and Sarah Witherow, Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1985 and special caregiver, Donna Warren.
