Allen Dean Woodard

Allen Dean Woodard, 75, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in Florida. A memorial service for Mr. Woodard will be conducted Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 4:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Donnie Kelley officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Giles County native was the son of the late Hicks Woodard and Nina Fralix Woodard Parr. He was formerly married to the late Mary Ellen Goats Woodard Thomason. For many years, he was involved in agriculture manufacturing in the Winter Haven, Florida area being most recently affiliated with Roberts Brothers Tomato Company. He is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Eddie) Stewart of Columbia, TN; a son, Gary (Lynn) Woodard of Columbia, TN; a sister, Lily Ziegler of Nashville, TN; a brother, George Butler Woodard of McMinnville, TN; two grandchildren, Jeremy (Tiffany) Woodard and Jamie Jo (Billy) Browning; three great grandchildren, Brady Woodard, Kaitlyn Browning, and Jordan Lovett. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Harwell. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
