Margaret Holmes

July 4, 1951 - March 2, 2013

Margaret Holmes, age 61, wife of David Holmes, and a resident of Tom Osborne Road in Columbia passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at Smith Mortuary in Maryville, TN later in the week. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of local arrangements. Margaret was born on July 4, 1951 in Maryville, TN and was the daughter of the late Samuel Edgar and Ruth Caylor James. Margaret has ran her race that has been long and hard, but now the Lord has called her home to rest. Margaret was a believer in Christ, a loving spouse, a proud mother, and ever prouder grandmother. She praised God daily for her family along with praying daily for God to protect and bless her family. Her family and loved ones will miss her, however, they are rejoicing knowing that her soul is absent from her temporal earthly body and is now present with the Lord. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Allen (Andrea) Holmes; daughter, Jennifer (James) Archer; brother, Phil James; sister, Mary Lynn (Wade) Long; and five grandchildren: Jacob, Finley, and Cooper Holmes, and Ruth and Seth Archer.
