Kane was born August 25, 1998 in Maury County and was the son of Ricky Paul Ragsdale and Jamie Lynn Hickman Buff. He was a sophomore at Spring Hill High School and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Kane will be remembered as initially shy, but very outgoing around his friends and family. In younger years, he played and excelled in football. No matter the circumstances, Kane could make people laugh. He was the bright spot in any situation and could bring a smile in the darkest moments. He loved music and was connected through all social media. Recalled as somewhat of a ladys man by his father, he is also cherished for his dedication to his parents, Catholic faith, and his family. Most friends and teachers will remember Kane with the simple words, Kane will be Kane. He loved those around him, but still marched to his own drum. In light of the tragedy surrounding his passing, his family wishes to celebrate his life, and caring positive spirit in the coming days. He is survived by his father and step-mother: Ricky & Corinne Ragsdale of Columbia; mother and step-father: Jamie & Brian Buff of Spring Hill; paternal grandfather: Paul Ragsdale of Culleoka; great-grandmother: Anna Bell Ragsdale of Campbellsville; step-brothers: Chase and Parker Buff of Pleasantview; and step-sister: Skylar Buff of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Doris Evelyn Ragsdale and maternal grandparents: Randy Charles and Karen Pope Hickman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital: 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
