Harley V. Cash of Nashville, TN went to be with his Lord on June 2, 2012 at the age of 80 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a long illness. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2620 Pennington Bend Rd. Nashville, TN. He was born to Howard and Mabel Cash on December 14, 1931 in Sturgis, South Dakota. He grew up with 6 siblings. After graduating from high school, the United States Air Force became his life. He was an instructor in Airborne Radar Maintenance. He graduated from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD; attended Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville and Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He married Martha Frances Bullock on August 13, 1957. They had two daughters, Barbi R. Cash and Diane Elizabeth Cash Nichols both of Nashville and many foster children. He was an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, pastoring churches in South Dakota, Alaska and Mississippi. He was District NYPS President in South Dakota and Alaska, and Youth Camp Director in South Dakota, Alaska and Mississippi. He went on 3 Work and Witness trips to Haiti, Venezuela and Trinidad. He was also given a trip to the Holy Lands. He loved working with his hands. Being a supply pastor, woodwork and cars have kept him occupied since his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Cash of Nashville; two daughters, Barbie R. Cash and Diane Elizabeth Cash Nichols both of Nashville; one granddaughter, Olivia Frances Nichols of Nashville; three step grand children, Amber Nichols and Allan Nichols of Nashville and Allison Nichols of Dallas, TX; one brother, Carroll Cash of Belle Fourche, SD and one sister, Shirley Cash of Nashville; and many, much loved, nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Charles Howard Cash and Mabel Dopp Cash; sister Sarah Cash, brother Charles Cash, sister Lavanchie Driskell and sister Angelee Cash; and one nephew, Nathanial Leidy.
