Stephen Johnson, age 67, husband of Judith Johnson, and a resident of Jesse Lane in Lewisburg, TN passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Marshall Medical Center. Private Family and Graveside services will be held at Harvey Cemetery at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. A native of Columbia, TN, Steve was born on June 27, 1945 at Kings Daughters Hospital. He was the son of the late Mark May and Annice Prim Brown Johnson. He retired from the Navy after 22 years as a boatswains mate BM-1. He spent half his life on a boat serving his country which he loved so much. He enjoyed working on and tinkering with weedeaters, lawn mowers, and tractors. Steve especially loved his dogs: Lodi, Bo, Casper, and Derryberry. In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by Jon (Mary) Gerard of Iowa, Teri Gerard and Misty Henderson both of Lewisburg, Diana Johnson of Columbia; brother: Perry (Theresa) Johnson of Santa Fe; three sisters: Frances Newton of Minor Hill, Elaine (Kenny) Walters of Santa Fe, Ann (Danny) England of Dickson; sister-in-law: Denise Johnson of the Wheel Community. Steve is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Mark Johnson, Louis Johnson, and sister: Dolly Johnson.
