Walter Alexander Picka

Mr. Walter Wally Alexander Picka, Sr., age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at his residence. The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Born on March 25, 1917 in Gary, IN, Walter was the son of the late Alexander Picka and the late Fany Piorunskina Picka Fisuk. He was of the Baptist faith and self employed for Wallys TV and Appliance Service. When he wasnt working, he worked at home. He loved his family and would help anybody with anything. He enjoyed electronics and doing woodwork. He is survived by his sons: Richard (Murlene) Picka of Murray, KY, Dale Picka of Indiana, and Nicholas Picka; in-laws: Edward Karpinski of Gary, IN, Theodore Turek of GA, Evelyn Meiu of Pueblo, CO, Casimir and Charlotte Bugay of IL; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife: Louise Eleanor Picka; brother: Nicholas Picka; and two grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
