John Douglas Thomas, Sr.

July 30, 1938 - January 10, 2014

John Douglas Thomas, Sr., age 75, and a resident of McEwen, TN, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. John was born in Nashville on July 30, 1938 to the late Harold Eugene and Thelma Louise Young Thomas, Sr. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1961. After he left the service he worked as a truck driver. John often enjoyed working outside on projects. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son: William Eugene Thomas of Lincoln Park, MI; daughters: Kimberly Ann Pieck of Garden City, MI; Jamie Lee Earp of Live Oak, FL; and sister: Angela Bishop.
