Henry Arthur Thompson

Mr. Henry Hank Thompson, age 60 of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 9, 2013 at 7:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Nashville, TN on December 1, 1952, Hank was the son of Julian Cantrell Thompson and Audrey Thompson Penman. Following high school at Hillsboro High School, he served his country briefly in the United States Marines. By trade he was a finish carpenter. Hank loved nature and was most comfortable in his deer stand. He is survived by his wife: Christine Thompson of Columbia; a daughter: Angi Gregg of Huntsville, AL; 3 sisters: Jane Thompson of Hendersonville, Charlene Penman of AZ, and Patricia Penman of MI; 3 brothers: Julian Andrew Thompson of Nolensville, Charles Thomas Penman and Michael Patrick Penman, both of MI; along with 5 nieces and 5 nephews.
