Mr. Timothy Art Sousley, age 53, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center following an accidental fall at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home, Thomas Sousley, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00-8:00PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 and from 12:00Noon until the time of service on Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home. Tim was a teacher at Highland Park Elementary for many years. He loved children, writing, photography, sports and teaching anyone willing to learn. Another passion was travel, including visits to most of the United States and several countries. He was a sports writer for The Daily Herald for several years, including traveling for the Tennessee Titans when they went to the Super Bowl. He started motorcycle riding as a new hobby and was a proud Honda owner. He is survived by two sisters, Lynn (Clarence) Taylor and Katherine (Ronald) Crans; two brothers, Thomas (Bonnie) and Robert (Mae) Sousley and many nieces and nephews, all from Michigan. Tim is also leaving behind his best friend and long-time companion, Ms. Tommie Bolton. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Marvyn Sousley, and a sister, Georgia.
