Mr. Roger Bubba Morton, age 67, husband of Carolyn Truette Morton and a resident of Dog Creek Road passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Morton will be Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at the Williamsport Community Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family. A native of Maury County; Bubba was born to Bertha Westmoreland Morton (Mother) and the late John Louis Morton (Father). He went to school in Santa Fe while growing up in the Primm Springs area. He developed a "knack" and talent for doing many things. His family said he was a "jack of all trades". (He even built his own home) He was a welder at Spandex Inc in Franklin after working for the MC West Construction Company in Columbia. Bubba loved to work on cars and loved his family; they did everything together. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the New Beginnings Baptist Church. He and Carolyn just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last month. Also surviving; one daughter, Lisa (Jason) Dunn of Primm Springs, three brothers; John L. (Carla) Morton, Billy Joe (Rita) Morton both of Primm Springs, & Randy (Pat) Morton of Nashville; four sisters, Carolyn Truette of Primm Springs, Peggy (Gene) Chancey of Polk County, Lynda (Charlie) Gober of Nashville & Cathey (Tony) McNabb also of Primm Springs; two grand children, Mary Lynne Dunn and Taylor Paige Dunn; brother-in-law, Raymond Truette & sister-in-law, Lucille Truette both of Williamsport. In addition to his father; Bubba was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Morton. Pallbearer's will be Gerald Truette, James Truette, Robert Truette, John Morton III, Johnny Dunn, Brian Jenkins & Jessie Adler. Honorary Pallbearers are All Members of the New Beginnings Missionary Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
