Michael Wayne Bivens

December 18, 1952 - March 27, 2012

Mr. Michael Wayne Bivens, age 59, husband of Georgia Bivens, and a resident of Ethridge, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be Friday, March 30th at 2 PM at the Fallriver Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg. Interment will follow in the Fallriver Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11 AM until the service hour at 2 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Michael was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was the son of the late Nobel Austin Bivens and the late Linda (Huttchion) Bivens. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Michael was a devoted man to his work, never missing a day. Along with work, he loved gardening. He loved all his family dearly and will be truly missed by them. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Kimberly Jo Bivens of Lawrenceburg, TN and Heather Renee Bivens of Ethridge, TN; 2 brothers: Ray (Calamity) Bivens of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Dale (Wendy) Bivens of Summertown, TN; 2 sisters: Pat (Terry) Keeton and Debbie Howell, both of Ethridge, TN; 1 grandchild: Anthony Wayne Garland of Lawrenceburg, TN. Pallbearers will be Joseph Bivens, Jeffrey Howell, Jonathan Bivens, Patrick Dickson, Charles Howell, and Rodney Moore. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
