Ms. Cammuse was a native of Maury County, Tennessee and the daughter of the late Edward E. (Punk) Cammuse and the late Ruby Rummage Cammuse. She was a Spring Hill High School graduate and in her earlier years she worked as an administrator for the Cotton Company in Huntsville, Alabama. However, her primary focus in life was taking care of her family.

Her family fondly recalls her loving nature and the care and concern she displayed toward them. For many years she was the primary caregiver for her father. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and watching the hummingbirds. One of her pleasures in life was sitting at her farm and watching the wild life as the animals would come and go on her property. In addition to these interests, Minnie Pearl was a great cook as well. A family friend mentioned the fact that no one could make potato salad like Minnie Pearl. “She made the best potato salad and beans I’ve ever tasted”, was the comment made with a smile.

Ms. Cammuse left behind to cherish her memory two daughters: Vicky Lynn Stewart of Spring Hill, TN and Phyllis Annette Stewart of Santa Fe, TN; one granddaughter, Lisa Marie Shouse (Timothy Wayne) Owens of Santa Fe, TN, one great grandson who was the joy of her life, Dylan Owens of Santa Fe, TN, one sister, Cynthia (Don) Burkeen of Springfield, TN, and one niece, Renea Leonard of Nashville, TN and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra (Cammuse) Lovell.

Special Honorary Mentions are Uncle James Cammuse and David Brown a lifetime family friend.

Flowers may be sent to Heritage Funeral Home or donations may be made to a college fund for her great grandson Dylan Owens. Donations may be made through the funeral home.
