Abner Ivan Gonzalez

Mr. Abner Ivan Gonzalez, age 30, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5 ^th at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Abner was born in Guatemala on May 30, 1991 and was the son of Nolberto Gonzalez and Deonicia Monges.   Abner loved to play volleyball at church with church family.  His favorite foods were ceviche and carne asada and would like for you to remember him when you eat these. Ivan would like to express his sincere thanks to his true friends who surrounded him on his way home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He especially loved his wife, daughter, and church family.

In addition to his parents, Abner is survived by his wife, Yesica Castillo, his daughter, Angeli Gonzalez, brothers, Eder (Damaris) Gonzalez-Monges and Selvin (Isabel) Gonzalez-Monges.
