Aletha Gay Toungett of Columbia, Tennessee

September 9, 1956 - March 20, 2020

Aletha Gay Toungett, age 63, a resident of Iron Bridge Road in Columbia, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will celebrate her life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Named after her grandmother, Aletha was born on September 9, 1956 in Dearborn, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Domont Toungett and the late Carolyn Dooley Toungett. She loved music and often enjoyed playing the guitar. Some of her other hobbies include cross stitching, wood working, and reading. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and her family will always remember her infectious laugh.

She is survived by her sisters: Pat (Dwight) Fautt of Columbia, Lori Mayberry of Santa Fe; brother, Jim Toungett of Santa Fe; and several nieces and nephews.
