Alexis M. Martin

Alexis M. Martin, age 23, a resident of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Wayne Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Clifton City Park, next to the river. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 5, 1998, in Corinth, Mississippi, Alexis was the daughter of Laura Peterson and the late James Sanders. She was a 2017 graduate of Wayne County High School and married Cody Martin on May 4, 2018. She enjoyed doing her makeup, and she loved staying home and taking care of her daughter.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Heavenly Martin, twin brother, Alex Sanders of Waynesboro, brother, Joey Peterson of Lawrenceburg, brothers in law, Eric Garland, Austin Martin, Jacob Martin, grandparents, Kathy and Kenneth Zundal, several nieces and nephews, and Denise and Tony Love.
