Allen "Mack" West, Jr.

Mr. Allen McKay “Mack” West, Jr., age 74, husband of Kay Derryberry West, and a resident of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with John Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Derryberry Cemetery in Marshall County. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 22, 1947, in Williamson County, Tennessee, Allen was the son of the late Allen McKay West, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Bizzell West. He retired from the Williamson County Highway Department. He showed and worked horses and often enjoyed participating in rodeos. Mack loved carpentry work, fishing, and his horses. Above all, he loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Joleen McKay (Kelly) Meeks of Spring Hill, TN, Jessica McKay West (Jeff) Weaver of Columbia, TN, Jonathan McKay (Rebecca) West of Dillon, MT, sister, Jane Nash of Franklin, TN, and grandchildren, Julia McKay Weaver, Seth Allen Weaver, Rebekah Morgan Weaver, and Joseph Harold Meeks.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Allena Bright and Pattie Jackson.
