Alvin Eric Meek

Alvin Eric Meek, age 58, husband of Angela Prentice Meek, and a resident of Lynnville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 8, 1964, at the Wright-Patterson AFB in Green County, Ohio, Alvin was the son of Alvin Eugene Meek and Jo Anne Childers Meek. He was a 1982 graduate of Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was in the Newport News Shipyard Welding Apprenticeship Program for four years and worked his entire career as a master welder. Eric and Angela were together six years prior to their marriage on March 21, 2003; together they spent many wonderful years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union Local 177 in Nashville for many years. He met countless friends through his numerous tobacco pipe social media groups. Eric was loved by innumerable family, friends, and coworkers and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his step daughter, Sherie Yates, sister, Amy (Marty) Beazley, step grandchildren, Justin Yates, Brianna Gallagher, four step great grandchildren, nephews, Alex (Kristin) and Andy Beazley, and great nephew, Silas Beazley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Anne Meek.
