Amanda Wright Arnell of Columbia, Tennessee

January 4, 1931 - August 10, 2023

Mrs. Amanda Wright Arnell, age 92, resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Life Care Center of Columbia.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 16th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Al Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.  The family will also visit with friends on Wednesday, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Arnell was born January 4, 1931, in Maury County and was the daughter of the late Clyde Wright and the late Clara Pillow Wright.  She graduated from Tennessee State University with a BS in Elementary Education. She worked in the Maury County school system for over thirty years.  She volunteered at Maury Regional Medical Center for twenty years with serving over five thousand hours.  She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was involved in several different organizations. Being in the Bridge Club was one of her favorite hobbies.  Most of all she loved her family and will be missed by all.

Mrs. Arnell is survived by her daughter Linda DuBose (Albert C. Bulls, III) of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Pamela Arnell of Pulaski, TN; grandchildren, Alyssa C. Arnell, Lisa Arnell, Megan DuBose, and Mark Stephen Arnell; great granddaughter, Ameilie Arnell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin Arnell; second husband, Robert Williams; son, Benjamin Jerome Arnell; and siblings, Elizabeth Young, Mary Grandberry, Virginia Wright, and Billy Wright.

Pallbearers will be: James Miller, Gary Stovall, Kenny Solomon, James Fulgham, Sr., Wendell Johnson
Stephen Johnson, Oliver Goodman, and Alvin Smith.
