Andres (Andy) Costilla, Jr.

April 21, 1954 - October 20, 2023

Passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 69, after a short but hard battle with cancer. Andy was preceded in death by his Mother, Refugia Gonzales, Father, Andres Costilla, Stepfather, Domingo Gonzales, Sister, Sylvia and Brother, Daniel and special parents, Mike and Luella Wonch.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Amy, sons, Matthew (Chloe) and Jon. Grandchildren, Destiny, Samuel, and Andrew. Siblings, Antonio Guillen, Refugia (Rick) McClendon, Frank (Sandy) Gonzales, Barbara Gonzales, Jesus (Tricia) Gonzales and many nieces and nephews.

Sargent Costilla served 8 years in the US Army, retired from GM Saturn Plant and as a custodian at Forrest School. He volunteered with B.S.A., Lions Club, youth baseball, and Forrest High School wrestling. Andy enjoyed singing, dancing, softball, fishing, golf, and watching his MSU Spartans.

A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
