Angela Addison, age 69, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Miracle Temple of Deliverance with Apostle Jimmy W. Davis officiating.  Angela will lie in state on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.  Prior to the funeral service, a visitation will be held from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 27, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, Angela was the daughter of the late Beverly Streater and the late Christine Melton Streater.  She worked as a sterilization supply tech in the endoscopy department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she retired after 20 years of dedicated service.

Angela had a zest for life and enjoyed various interests. She had a passion for magic tricks, playing handball, and showcasing her cooking skills in the kitchen. A woman of punctuality, she also found joy in exploring gadgets and technology. Angela had a special bond with her grandkids. Every Thanksgiving was a cherished tradition, marked by quality time spent together and a movie marathon.

Angela is survived by her daughter, Devila Martin of Columbia, son, James Addison III of Mt. Juliet, sisters, Marion Etta Streater of North Carolina and Diane Streater of New York, grandchildren, Angela Martin, Jazzmen Martin, Ke’Shawna Green, Alexis Martin and Jaelyn Addison, Unique Allen, Trinity Allen and great-grandchildren, A’niyah Martin, Lorenzo Corr, Kaycen Brown, Kaiden Brown, Briscion,  Bryson, Journey, Kebria and Keniya.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laterra Nicole Pullens, brothers, Steven Anthony Streater Sr. and Ronald Wesley Streater and her son-in-law, Henry Patrick Martin.
