Angelina Michelle Sparkman

Angelina Michelle Sparkman, age 50, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Green officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Fields Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 12-1PM at the funeral home. The family will meet at Creekside Community Center, 108 Willow St., Columbia, TN 38401 following the burial, with Mt. Nebo also serving dinner for those who can't make it back to Columbia for the repass.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 13, 1969 in Battle Creek, Michigan, Angelina was the daughter of Clyde Mayes, Sr. and the late Shirley Ann McKnight Mayes. She worked many years in dietary for several healthcare facilities, including Life Care Center and Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehab. She enjoyed listening to music, being around her family and laughing and having a good time. Above all, she loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her children: Richie Darshay (Nikki Edwina) Sparkman of Hohenwald, Clydarius Sparkman of Hohenwald, Shaaliyah Sparkman of Mt. Pleasant, Stephanie Sparkman of Giles County; brothers: James Mayes, Jordan Mayes, Michael Mayes; sisters: Katina Mayes, Nikki Mayes; grandchildren: Paislee, Mya, Jamius Sparkman, and Darmarey Sparkman and Keandre Sparkman; devoted friend: Fred Roberts; devoted aunts: Mamie Rogers and Ethelene Mayes; devoted uncle: Bernard Mayes; and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Justin Sparkman and a brother, Clyde Mayes, Jr.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
