Asher Wyatt Ashby

Asher Ashby, 3 months old, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at 3:00pm at Open Door Baptist Church, 1100 South High Street, Columbia, TN 38401,  with Brandon Cochran officiating.  The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 2:00pm until the service hour at the church.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Asher was born on March 29, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Raymond and Ashley Ashby. He was a happy, loving baby boy who spoke with his eyes to get your attention. He enjoyed holding your finger and listening to music. The staff at Vanderbilt would play the song "Forever," which would calm him down if he was upset. He always knew when his family was around and, most of all, loved having his head rubbed. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

Along with his loving parents he is survived by his brother, Gavin Ashby; sister, Alannah Ashby; grandparents, James (Carla) Wilhoite, Sr., Shelley Hudson, Gypsy (Zolly) Scott, Mary White; uncles, James (Leondra) Wilhoite, Jr., Cameron White, and Jesse Ashby; aunts, Brenda Spray, Briana White, Jeanie Ashby, Brittany (Albin) White.

Asher was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lisa Wilhoite and several other grandparents.
