Ashlyn Anne Agent

Ashlyn Anne Agent, age 26, a resident of Nashville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 26, 2023.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Cynthia McGowan officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 19, 1996, in Maury County, Ashlyn was the daughter of Audrey Agent and Raymond Burns, Jr.  Ashlyn was quite artistic, enjoying coloring and drawing throughout her life.  She had a big heart and loved her family very much.  She was especially close with her brother, Dakota. Her grandmother always said “Ashlyn is an angel with a broken wing; she can still fly”.   She will be deeply missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, her brother, Dakota Agent (Alison), sister, Zoey Johnson, great aunt and uncle, Shane and Linda Hester (who helped in raising Ashlyn), aunts, Laura Aviles and Bethany Riddle, uncles, John Scroggins and Phillip Burns, aunt and uncle, Jennette and Keith Miller, great-uncles, Jeff Scroggins and Jerry Scroggins, grandmother,  Janice Scroggins, great-grandmother, Mary Scroggins, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas Agent, Johnny Scroggins, and Raymond Burns, Sr., great-grandmother, Willie Buell, great-aunt, Ruby Cates, uncles, Tony Burns and Jeff Burns, along with Rethia Faye Reinhold, and host of aunts and uncles.
