Barbara Frances Jakubowski

Barbara Frances Jakubowski, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Barbara was born on December 18, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Chester and Irene Krzyzowski.

After graduating high school, Barbara worked as a secretary at a school for many years. She was known for her heart of gold and her willingness to help anyone in need. She adored butterflies and found great joy in cooking and baking for herself and others. Barbara’s kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Jakubowski of Spring Hill; her son, Craig J. (Kelly) Jakubowski of Illinois; her daughter, Christine Jakubowski of Illinois; her sister, Susan (Jim) Plosnich of Spring Hill; her brother-in-law, Harry Jakubowski of Arizona; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Bansley of Arkansas and Victoria Forrester of Illinois; her grandchildren, Jessica (Gaby) Morales, Justin Esposito, and Jaimie Maida; her great-grandchild, Luna Morales; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra DeCiani, and her father and mother-in-law, Joseph Frances and Helen Jakubowski.

An inurnment will be held at a later date at Maury Memorial Gardens.
