Barbara Norman Thomas

Mrs. Barbara Norman Thomas, age 80, wife of Armour Thomas, and a resident of Culleoka, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bob Rush officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 17, 1940 in Nashville, Barbara was the daughter of the late Barry L. Norman and the late Hazel Hargrove Brothers. She married Armour Thomas in 1957 and previously worked as a buyer for Parks Belk, was a member of the National Association of Security Dealers, and was a volunteer for hospice. She enjoyed cooking and made an excellent banana bread and banana pudding. Barbara loved fashion and interior design. She was a member of Mooresville Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: George (Lia) Thomas of Columbia, Michael (Amy) Thomas of North Carolina; daughter, Lisa (Bud) Pagel of Columbia; siblings: Janet Brothers, Mark Brothers, David Brothers, Linda Vetitoe; grandchildren: Charlie Ray Howell, Brittany McNabb, Hunter Thomas, Faith Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Maria Wilson, Adam Viccaro, Elizabeth Thomas; and great grandchildren: Hazel Stewart, Thomas McNabb, Jenny Lee McNabb, GracieRose McNabb, and Ryan McNabb .

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Howell; brother, James Norman; and sister, Lydia Brothers.
