Betty Joyce Henry

Betty Joyce Walker Henry, age 91, passed away in her home in Columbia Monday, May 22nd, 2023.

Betty Henry was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Pete Henry, her parents Hazelle Hendren (Chris) and Herman Walker (Mary), two sisters Jo Henry Robert) and Helen Chadwick (Ed) and her son Michael Henry (Vera).

She is survived by her son Chuck Henry (Maureen) and her daughter Katy Henry; sisters Julianne Hickman (Ken) and Judy Koeppel (Morris); brothers Britt Hendren and Ed Walker (Diana); six grandchildren Summer Medrano (Pablo) Kelly Galyean (Josh), Becca Henry, Molly Casey (Denver), Mitchell Henry and Kaley Nichols. She also had eight great-grandchildren.

Betty enjoyed volunteering, gardening and scrapbooking. She also loved camping, traveling and planning family gatherings. Betty previously worked as a nurse for Life Blood Bank and volunteered at her children's school as they attended them, the Red Cross, Maury Regional Medical Center and LeBonheur Children's Hospital. She was of Christian faith.
