Betty Joyce Jones

Betty Joyce Jones, age 89, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Poplar Estates.

The family will celebrate her life with a graveside service at McLehaney Cemetery in Higden, Arkansas at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 21, 1931 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Joyce was the daughter of the late Benjamin Chambers Logan and the late Mary Ella Faulkner Logan. She worked over thirty years as an LPN before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Greers Ferry, Arkansas where she loved singing in the choir. She most recently attended Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, Tennessee. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and spending time on the lake.

She is survived by her son, Ben (Denisa) Jones of Lewisburg, TN; daughters: Joy (John) Tate of Heber Springs, AR, Ramona (David) Caldwell of Heber Springs, AR; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Jones; and siblings: Benjamin Chambers Logan, Jr., James Vernon Logan, Charles Wayne Logan, Mary Frances Logan Milam, Thomas Fletcher “Buster” Logan, and John Brooks Logan.
