Betty Faye Long of Columbia, Tennessee

Betty Faye Long, age 71, resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Betty was born on June 13, 1952, in Athens, Alabama, to the late Floyd Shiremen and the late Alene Haggard Birdwell. She was renowned for her talent in baking the best biscuits and had a heart full of generosity. Betty was a "Mama" to everybody, always ready to offer her love and support. Her warm presence and kindness will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Bearden and Tina Lankford; sons, Bobby Reynolds, Kendall Long, Landon Wells, Lester (Joy) Long, Jr., Charles (Shirley) Long, Chad Gilliam; sisters, Shirley Kelley and Anita Cothran; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Long, Sr.; son, Scottie Reynolds; and sister, Linda Estis.
