Betty Smith of Lobelville, Tennessee

Betty Joyce Smith, age 74, a resident of Covington, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Lobelville.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements

Born November 29, 1946 in Memphis, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Cole and Mary Inez Watson Cole and the wife of the late Gilley Smith and Roy Gray. She was homemaker and had worked at Walmart. She loved to read do puzzles, travel and do macrame. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughters: Joanne Smith and Rhonda Barber, both of Lobelville; daughter-in-law: Tracy Gray of Burlison; brothers: Wayne Cole of Henderson and James Cole of Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren: Brent Barber, Heather Hensley, Kallie Barber, Kenneth Lee Gray Jr., Ryan Gray, Whittney Wolfe and Nickey Proctor; 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: Kenneth Lee Gray Sr
