William Louis Stoklasa, age 65, resident of Culleoka, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his residence.
The family will celebrate Bill’s life at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bill was born in Princeton, Missouri and was the son of Shirley Ann Stoklasa and the late Ivan Lee Stoklasa. He grew up singing and playing music. He traveled the Midwest with his band The Country Ramblers. He moved to Tennessee in 2001 and was declared Midwest Country News Entertainer of the Year. He enjoyed working as a truck driver for forty-four years and also enjoyed farming. He married Dawn Marie Korthals in 2008. Bill loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his mother, Bill is survived by his wife, Dawn Marie Stoklasa; children: Annie Stoklasa of Kansas City, Missouri, Christy (Jeff) Ottsman of Columbia, Joey (Nicole) Houser of Columbia, Angie (Jay) Cogswell of Nashville, Amber (Kenny) Smith of Eagleville, Abe Stoklasa of Nashville, and Carley Houser of Chattanooga; mother of Angie, Amber, and Abe: Gale Barnard of Nashville; sisters: Willa (Steve) McLaughlin of Brush, Colorado and Wanda Stoklasa (Thomas Trice) of Nebraska City, Nebraska; grandchildren: Wyatt Morris and fiancé Leeza, Dakota Morris, Bobby Morris, Sam Ottsman, Brenna Ottsman, Cole Ottsman, Knox Smith, Emma Smith, Huck Houser, Myer Houser, and Annastynn Streit; great grandchildren: Grayson, Marleigh, Michael, Claire and Addi Morris; many nieces and nephews; and his “8 th ” child: Chad Hulshof.
Along with his father he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Dean and Thelma Korthals.
