Billy Ray Moore

Mr. Billy Ray Moore, age 84, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday morning, January 31, 2020 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. William Rolman officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 11, 1935 in Maury County, Billy was the son of the late Clint Alexander Moore and the late Emma Hill Moore. He worked many years as a truck driver for Anderson & Neal. He enjoyed fishing and flight simulator.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Patsy Anderson Moore; son, Darrell (Teresa Dugger) Moore of Columbia; daughter, Cathy Jones of Columbia; grandsons: Thomas Moore, Ricky Jones, Chris Jones; and great grandson, Christopher Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles: Ed, Nathan, and Cromer Moore.

Pallbearers will be: Bart Anderson, Stacey Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Thomas Moore, Chris Jones, and David Henson.
