Bobby Ray Holt of Columbia, Tennessee

December 30, 1946 - March 17, 2020

Mr. Bobby Ray Holt, age 73, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Holt will lie in state at the funeral home on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm. The memorial service will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

He was born in Maury County and was the son of the late Ernest Holt and the late Samella Claude Holt. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for Fitzgerald Plumbing, Barney Hobbs Plumbing, and Campbell and Dye Construction. He enjoyed family gatherings, cook outs, and fish fries. Most of all Bobby loved his church and singing gospel music.

He is survived by his son: Almarez (Sharesa) Holt; step son: Isiah Belafant; daughters: Barbara Holt, Lisa (Ben) Smith, and Deberth (Ezra) Martin; brother: Jerry (Catherine) Holt; sister: Patty Holt; grandchildren: Timothy McGill, Jr., La’Quisha McGill, Quinton Humphrey, Shametrius Johnson, Stephanie Martin, Brittany Martin, Heaven Holt, and Zirez Holt; and great grandchildren: Ja’dyn McKissack, J’Ciana Humphrey, Ja’lyn McKissack, Ja’Clyn McKissack, and Onica McGill.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Roy Holt, George Holt, Joe Holt, Samuel Holt; daughter: Vershonna Holt; sisters: Ernestine Mitchell and Elsie Warfield; and grandson: Rodterrius Tinnel.
