A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Peace in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 5-7PM and again on Saturday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 18, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri, Brandon was the son of Gary Grider and Melissa Barber Grider. He was a 2004 graduate of Columbia Central High School and worked as a press operator at Apcom in Franklin. Brandon was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved the time he spent playing basketball with his son, Blake and daughter, Kymber. His most valued time was that spent with his family, and he especially loved going fishing with his grandpa. Most of all, Brandon loved Jesus and was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son: Blake Grider of Columbia; daughter: Kymber Grider of Columbia; Blake and Kymber’s sister: Paysley; grandmother: Carol Grider of Columbia; grandfather: George (Rosalyn) Barber of Missouri; sisters: Sarah Grider (fiancé: Billy Kirkland and his children: Bryson and Preston) of Columbia, Holly (Richard) Terry of Columbia; nieces: Marleigh and Millie Terry; God parents: Keith Grider & Tina VanLear; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Jerry Olen Grider and maternal grandmother: Mary Kerns Barber.
Pallbearers will be: Zach Allen, Joe Bridges, Lane Mahaney, Jamie Tate, Alex Wolfe, Justin Andrew, Bobby Shields, and Chris Lowrey.
Honorary pallbearers will include: the staff and residents of John 3:16 Ministries in Charlotte, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to John 3:16 Ministries: 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte, Arkansas 72522.
