Brenda Tordy

Brenda Tordy, age 59, resident of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Lone Oak Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on May 15, 1961 in Elwood, Indiana; Brenda Lee Taylor Tordy was the daughter of Glen “Butch” Eugene Taylor and the late Jeraldene “Babe” Ruth Kelley Taylor. She married Francis Tordy in July of 1988; and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2020. A very spiritual, fun-loving person; She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved Cordial Cherries and Soap-Operas on television. She was employed as a cashier at the Lewisburg Dollar Tree for many years.

In addition to her father, Brenda is survived by her daughters: Alicia Swesey, Kimberly (Ivan) Warner; sons: Cody Tordy, Frank Tordy; grandchildren: Keanu (Heather) Yu, Serenity Swesey, Christian Swesey, Elizabeth Tordy, Blair Warner; brothers: Gary (Susie) Taylor, David (Sally Jean) Hobbs, nephews: Jeremy (Ashley) Taylor, Gary (Rhonda) Taylor Jr., David Hobbs Jr.; and niece: Sallyann (Bill) Barnes.

In addition to her husband and mother, Brenda is preceded in death by her sister: Merna Taylor, brother: Glen Taylor, son; Hank Douglas Tordy and granddaughter: Riley Tordy.
