Carl Bivens of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee

April 10, 1950 - November 2, 2018

Mr. Carl Bivens, age 68, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in Fall River Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 12-2PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 10, 1950 in Nashville, he was the son of Nobel Austin and Linda (Huttichson) Bivens. He attended school in Lawrence County prior to enrolling in the United States Army, 82 ^nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.

Ray had a special love for fishing, driving his big trucks and especially spending time with his grandson Caydon.

He is survived by his loving wife Calamity Sue Howell Bivens, of Mount Pleasant, whom he married on December 6, 1974; son: Jonathan Ray Bivens; daughters: Melinda Lucille Bivens and Helen Diane Luther; brother Dale (Wendy) Bivens; sister Pat (Terry) Keeton; grandchildren Caydon Vincent-Trae Bivens, Darien Rachel Nicole Corbitt and Caitlin Renee’ Page Ceasar; great grandchildren Abygaile, Jensen, Kadjon and Amari and several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Austin & Linda Bivens; sister Debra Elaine Howell and brother Michael Wayne Bivens.

Pallbearers will be: Rodney Burdette, John Burdett, Randy (Rudolph) Howell, Matthew Moore, Charles Howell, Joe Bivens and Caydon Bivens.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Dr. White, Dr. Babu, Dr. Barlette, Dr. Clayton,  Dr. Khim, NHC Maury Regional and Charles Austin Lane Howell (Lanie).
