Carl Griggs

Mr. Carl Eugene Griggs, age 69, a resident of Old Leipers Creek Road, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024.

Born on December 15, 1954 in Franklin, TN, Carl was the son of the late Marvin Eugene and Dessie Conner Griggs. He was also the husband of the late Karen Smith Griggs for 49 years. Carl retired from the City of Franklin after 40.5 years of service in 2016. He was an avid horse lover and known as “The Cowboyman” to most who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Griggs Webb of Columbia, TN, daughter Cherry King (Chris) of Manama, Bahrain and son Dale Griggs of Columbia, TN. Grandchildren Michael, Shelby, Allyson and Justin King, Hannah, Kaylee and Courtney Griggs and three Great Grandchildren Ella Rose, Aleia Kalani and Elliott Eugene.

There will be a Graveside service at Johnson Chapel Cemetery at 6498 Old Natchez Trace, Santa Fe, TN on December 11th at 11am.
