Carolyn Campochiaro, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A graveside service at Maury Memorial Gardens will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Ashlyn Stone officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miles, Colton Garner, Alan Campochiaro, Grayson Stone, and Trey Levy. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 6, 1947, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, Carolyn was the daughter of the late David Vickery and the late Emmogene Hull Cook. She was wed on November 25, 1961, to Louis Campochiaro, who preceded her in death on October 16, 2010. She dedicated twenty-eight years of her life to her career in customer service for Walmart. Throughout Carolyn’s most recent years she enjoyed socializing, visiting casinos, and country music. However, above all things, Carolyn most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her children Linda (Phil) Martz of Columbia, TN, John (Pia) Campochiaro of Germershein, Germany, Mary (Steve) Campochiaro of Spring Hill, TN, Louis Campochiaro III of Columbia, TN, Teresa Campochiaro Garner of Thompson’s Station, TN, Stephen (Lacie) Campochiaro of Columbia, TN, brother, John Vickery of Waynesboro, TN, sister, Barbara Carson of Missouri, nineteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Campochiaro, daughter, Tina Marie Campochiaro, and sister, Lila McLaughlin.
