Carolyn Ann Carroll

Mrs. Carolyn Ann King Carroll, age 68, wife of Charlie Carroll and a resident of Sunset Lane in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 22, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, Carolyn was the daughter of the late William King and the late Patricia Spencer King. She worked at Saturn from 1994 – 2006. She loved to bake cakes for any and every occasion, and in her spare time she enjoyed coloring. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Kelly Scott (Steve Baggett) of Columbia, Karen (Allan) Porter of Culleoka, Kristina (Billy) Stanfill of Williamsport, Karla Keene (Steve Harkness) of Brighton, Keri (Brandon) Workman of Mt. Pleasant; brothers: Kenneth (Laura) King of Lynnville, David King of Waynesboro; sisters: Una Jean King of Columbia, Donna (Steve) Henderson of Portland; grandchildren: Justin White, Alisha Scott, Patrick Ritch, Derek Ritch, Brandon Stanfill, Brandi Stanfill, Joshua Keene, Tyler Keene, Kelci Keene, Sarah Workman, Ryan Workman; great granddaughter, Jasmine Keene; special cousin, Linda Cargill; and beloved dog, Brutus, AKA: Boo Boo.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael King.

Pallbearers will be: Justin White, Patrick Ritch, Derek Ritch, Brandon Stanfill, Joshua Keene, Tyler Keene and Ryan Workman. Honorary pallbearers will include: Billy Stanfill, Brandon Workman, Allan Porter, Steve Baggett, Steve Harkness, and Steve Henderson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Vanderbilt nurse, Ralph Crossen, and the surgery staff for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
