Carrie Frierson Galloway

Carrie Louise Frierson Galloway, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5 ^th at 12:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, May 5 ^th from 10:00am until the service hour at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carrie was born May 16, 1929, in Maury County and was the daughter of the late Ed and Annie Mae Jones Frierson. She had a true servant’s heart serving many families by cleaning houses for 39 years. Carrie was a longtime member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and the outdoors. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Carrie is survived by her daughters, Terri Frierson of Columbia, and Doris Juanita Pierce of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Sarah Frierson; grandchildren, Steven L. (Sherry) Galloway and Gwendolyn “Gwen” M. (Noel) Galloway Wright; nine great grandchildren; and twelve great great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Galloway, and brothers, William Frierson, Lee Roy Frierson, and Ben Frierson.
