Catherine "Cathy" Marie Lane

Catherine "Cathy" Marie Lane, age 52, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday morning, May 6, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held via Zoom on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Catherine was born on March 22, 1969 in Adak, Alaska and was the daughter of the late Elmer Ring and the late Alice McCain Ring. She loved spending time with her family and friends; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved sharing Jehovah’s promise, loved cooking, and creating new dishes. She had an amazing off collar sense of humor, loved laughing and cutting up with her family and friends.

Catherine leaves behind her husband of thirty-one years, Billy Lane of Columbia; daughters, Cassidy (Kyle) Sanders of Columbia, Kristina Lane of Columbia sons, Jeshua (Rachael) Lane of Columbia, Joshua (Nancy) Ring of Gallatin; grandsons: Ryder “Little Bear” Sanders, Micah “Baby Bear” Sanders; sisters: Debbie (Aaron) Smith, Beth (Michael) Rowe; brother, Tim Ring; nieces: Aloura and Deianera Smith, Caitlin Lane, Sara Grantham; nephews, Gabriel Smith, Zachary Lane, Nicholas Rowe, Thoms Rowe; mother in law, JoAnn Lane; brothers in law, Doyle Lane, Jr., Jimmy Lane, James (Jennifer) Lane; and sister in law, Pamela Thomas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan “Joe” Ring.
