Catherine Darline Loper, age 91, resident of Culleoka, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Morning Pointe of Columbia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home with Eddie Watson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi.  The family will visit with friends from 9:30am until the 11am service at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Catherine, also known as “GiGi” by her family, was born in Mississippi and was the daughter of the late George P. Holt and the late Emma Jane Rye Holt. She was married to Lesco G. “LG” Loper for over forty years, who has preceded her in death.  She was a member of Judson Baptist Church in Nashville.  She enjoyed walking and bowling, playing on a bowling team for several years.  She also enjoyed being a homemaker, always fixing up her house.   Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter: Sandy (Al “Butch”) Henson of Culleoka; sons: Jerry G. Loper of Fayetteville and Michael Loper of Atlanta, GA; sister: Sylvia (Lecil) Hollis of Greenwood Springs, MS; brother: Herbert Holt of Greenwood Springs, MS; grandchildren: Brady (Jamie) Henson of Columbia, Aly (David) Finn of Fairview, Asheley Loper of Nashville, and Olivia Loper of Bend, OR; and great grandchildren: Connor Henson, Catherine Henson, Jack Finn, and Sandy Rye Finn.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: John Presley Holt, Ann Miles, and Becky Easter.
