Cecil Devon Conner

Cecil “Chuck” Devon Conner, age 86, a resident of Lewisburg, previously of Columbia, passed away Saturday morning, April 29, 2023, at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM, with Kyle Conner officiating, and a masonic service following. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 17, 1936, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, Chuck was the son of the late Ira Oval Conner and the late Ina Mae Leland Conner. He previously worked as a maintenance foreman for Occidental Chemical Company. He married Carol Frances Lovett on May 16, 1956; she preceded him in death on June 6, 2021. He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #31 and a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, woodworking, and traveling.

He is survived by his sons, Tim Conner of Hermitage, Jeffrey (Karen) Conner of Lewisburg, daughter, Teresa (Wayne) Lovett of Columbia, brother, Ira (Myra) Conner, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, sister, Caron Sharp of Lewisburg, grandchildren, Raney Conner, Jesse (Jessica) Conner, Caleb Lovett, Carly (Albert) Temple, and great grandchildren, Caroline Lorree Temple and Harper Lunn Conner.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Hansell Conner, and daughter in law, Nancy Conner.
