Charles Benny Neal

Charles Benny Neal, Jr., age 61, husband of Juran Neal, and a resident of Spring Hill, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 14, 1961, in Oxford, Mississippi, Benny was the son of the late Charles Benny Neal, Sr. and Margie & Frank Calvi. He served in the United States Army and married Juran Rice on March 14, 1986. Benny worked as a general superintendent in construction for JE Dunn; he loved his job and was a dedicated employee. A true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, and grilling. He also enjoyed watching westerns. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Duck Neal.

He is survived by his wife, Melba “Juran” Neal, mother and step father, Margie (Pruitt) & Frank Calvi, of Horn Lake, MS, sons, Joseph Edward (Christina Leigh) Uselton of Columbia, TN, Guy Wilson McRae of Mississippi, Corey Shane (Casey) Neal of Columbia, TN, Aubrey Franklin (Jessica) Neal of Cumming, GA, Ethan Daniel (Stacey) Neal of Nashville, TN, brother, Vince (Kim) Calvi, sister, Margo (Brian) Stover, and grandchildren, Luke Edward Uselton, Logan Lee Uselton, Tucker Brown, Nicholas McRae, Prestley O’Malley, Charlie Anne Neal, Reid Avery Neal, Zoey Eden Neal, Sawyer Neal, Norah Neal, and Quinn Neal.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Edward Uselton, Corey Shane Neal, Aubrey Franklin Neal, Ethan Daniel Neal, Chris Chellete, Pete Maher, and Luke Uselton.
